The Hitchhikers Guid to the Galaxy Review

Standard

The game was about the film, except you controlled the character, Arthur Dent. And how he survives the end of the world. (If he survives that is, which from my gameplay, is very unlikely) The hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy game, was enormously enjoyable. I found that the graphics were absent, mostly because no ‘actual’ movement was included. The pictures explained your surroundings and that was about it. This fact, didn’t change the enjoyment of the gameplay itself.

I found, the freedom to make your own decisions is something that anyone would enjoy. Even though, making one wrong move resulted in having to start from the begging. Which, admittedly was a very irritating aspect. The game itself, was very addicting, mostly because you couldn’t take five steps outside the house before something goes wrong and you end up dead, so curiosity to wanting to know what happens next is something that controlled going back to the beginning and playing again. One strong point to this, is that you know what to do to get to where you left off, so you can replay in a better way than originally. The difficulty of the game, was immense. Witch other games, such as fable 2, for example, you are told where to go, and how to get there. This game, however does not hold your hand along the way. You are thrown into very, deep water and told to swim. Which I think, adds to the fun. As well as the aggravation. The game was very unique in some ways. Mostly the way that the decisions for how the character survives is all on you, also the fact that all you had to guide you, were the beginning story and a very crude picture of your surroundings, lack of sound, made no difference to the gameplay.

Aside

Good points to adapting a true story:

It would enhance the story line to make it more interesting.

It could widen the variety of audiences.

It might be able to make a story that is interesting but there is not much going on, seem more exciting.

Bad Points to adapting a true story:

True fans could realise some lies within the storyline.

It would cost more to make, for example, if SFX is in it to make it more interesting.

The changes made might be worse for the film rather than better. And could ruin a good story.
